Megan and I certainly hope you are enjoying our blog. We continue to add content for your viewing pleasure. More importantly, to help you with the tangled web that can get you stuck and caught up in all the information that is out there. Needless to say that a lot of information can be good and bad. Let me explain.
Today I want to talk about implementation. What exactly is the true meaning of that word? Here is the Wikipedia definition. The process of moving an idea from concept to reality. Why does that seem to be a stumbling block? That is often the biggest hurdle to anyone beginning anything.
It really held me back for a long time, years, actually. It kept me from beginning my dreams and giving me my purpose in life. Is this word or action or process of starting, your biggest obstacle? It seems to be a major issue. How many times are you going to talk about and plan something and never even attempt or try? When is it time? How about now! I am so excited to be right in the middle of my dreams and living my life the way it is supposed to be. I can’t believe I didn’t start sooner. If you only knew what that is like. You get those butterflies in the stomach moments, not those stressed out nervous knots from looking at the other guy’s success. You find your path and begin to follow it, not knowing exactly where it is going, but you are on it. Does that make sense? I am following proven strategies and formulas from Michael Cheney that he uses to this day for his dreams. Have you found your map to success and are you implementing?
It’s kind of like going on vacation and planning your itinerary. You pick out the place, read up on all the sight seeing attractions, get your tickets, hotel, learn about the culture, get on the plane and arrive, do all the things on your list, sometimes finding more to do or something better or so unique that you never would have known about if you had just stayed home and never gone. All the reading and preparation is never, ever the same as experiencing the actual trip. There is no comparison to learning about and really doing it!
Do you notice having more money seems to be on everyone’s to do list, but often times it doesn’t get done? I know it holds people back. It held my husband back. Let me tell you a story about how he had his aha! moment when it came to implementation. By the way he gets it now.
I remember when he and I began seeing each other after my late husband’s untimely death. We had been seeing each other for a very few months and hadn’t officially met the future in laws. I invited his family for dinner. Everything seemed fine and we had good conversation and all was well. My future husband escorted his mom to the car and on the way she stopped him and turned and looked into his eyes and said this is a rich man’s house, what are you doing here? He was shocked at her statement. He realized that she thought that money was the root of evil. She left out one word, the LOVE of money is the root of evil.
That was an eye opener for me. To think that someone is being held back simply because of misconceptions and pre judgments and unfounded beliefs.
So, I ask you, what is holding you back from implementing your dreams? That is how I will sum this up and how I look at implementation. It’s not just bringing an idea into reality. No, if you think about bringing your dreams and passions into reality, it takes on a whole new perspective. Don’t you think? It simply isn’t making a buck or passing the buck, by blaming others or not beginning your journey. It’s being able to look back on life and saying I did it!
P.S.
On a side note, did you see the movie Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman? I would suggest you watch it. It would be an eye opener for anyone who has their to do list, but hasn’t implemented.
